Tibet Infrastructure: Nyingchi Railway Station to be Completed in October 2021
According to Tibet News Network report on 31 December 2019, the construction of Nyingchi (Linzhi) Railway Station in Tibet Autonomous Region, China is expected to be completed in October 2021. Nyingchi Railway Station is located in Zire Village, Bujiu Township, Bayi District, about 19 kilometers from Bayi Town in Nyingchi City, and 30 kilometres from the Milin(Mainling) Airport of Nyinghchi (Linchi).
The designed building area of Nyingchi (Linzhi) Railway Station building is 15000 square meters. It has two floors above ground and a part of the underground one is for passenger passages, fire pump house and pools. The main body is a reinforced concrete frame structure and the roof of the station hall is a steel and wooden frames structure.
According to Wang Zhuopei, deputy director of the Department of Safety and Quality of Tibet Railway Construction Co. Ltd, as of the end of December 2019, the main railway bed project of the Lhasa-Linzhi Railway has been completed, and the left over are the works attached to the land base and greening projects. 84.7 kilometres of bridge project has been completed which is 98.22% of the total designed bridge project. Construction of 44 tunnels of 213.48 kilometres has been completed, which is 98.62% of total designed tunnel projects, the remaining 3 tunnels have not yet linked up. Building construction projects in over 14400 square meters area have been completed which is 64.43% of total designed building projects. 77500 square meters area building projects are remaining.

The “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” is coming to an end. Strive to review and approve the “Tibetan Autonomous Region Comprehensive Three-Dimensional Transportation Network Plan (2021-2050)” in the first half of the year. According to the report on the docking with the national ministries and commissions, it will revise and improve the “Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Comprehensive Transportation in the Autonomous Region” and submit it to the Autonomous Region Government for approval.
