Pakistan assures complete support, cooperation to Sri Lanka’s quest for national security

The Defense Secretary of Pakistan, Lieutenant General (R) Ikram Ul Haq Sri Lanka’s Secretary to the Ministry of Defense Kapila Waidyaratne PC at the Defense Ministry, today, October 03, 2018.

The two Defense Secretaries held a cordial discussion on matters of bilateral importance and mutual cooperation during the meeting.

During the discussion with his counterpart, Pakistan’s Defense Secretary expressed his complete support to Sri Lanka in her quest for national security and assured Pakistan’s unconditional strategic cooperation for the same.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat and Defense Ministry officials were also present at the occasion.

The Pakistan’s Defense Secretary is in the island leading a high-level delegation for the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Armed Forces Defense Dialogue. The dialogue is held with the aim to promote professional and mutually beneficial relations between the Armed Forces of the two countries.
